The first Sustainability Report from Carlsberg Marston’s Brewing Company (CMBC) has been published today.
The report provides a summary of CMBC’s progress towards our sustainability targets in 2021 – our first full year as a company following the joint venture between Carlsberg UK and Marston’s Beer Company in November 2020.
Acting on our commitments as part of Carlsberg Group’s Together Towards ZERO (TTZ) sustainability programme, CMBC has taken important steps to achieving ZERO carbon footprint, ZERO water waste, ZERO irresponsible drinking and a ZERO accidents culture.
Despite the challenges of the COVID-19 pandemic, CMBC has seen positive developments towards achieving these targets, paving the way for even greater progress in the coming years. Our efforts have contributed to keeping Carlsberg Group on track to meeting our shared TTZ targets for 2022.
CMBC’s 2021 Sustainability Report showcases the vital projects undertaken over the past year to help realise our ambitions. These include:
Paul Davies, CEO, Carlsberg Marston’s Brewing Company comments: “We remain committed to executing the strategy and targets set out in the Carlsberg Group’s sustainability programme – Together Towards ZERO. The ambitious actions ahead will require the engagement of our talented people and our valued partners, from customers to suppliers and others across our value chain.
“Our 2021 report marks a clear moment to be transparent and set out what the first full year as CMBC has shown us.
"Together Towards ZERO is central to Carlsberg Group’s new SAIL’27 business strategy, driving company growth and resilience. Through the effort and dedication of CMBC’s people, we are playing a key role realising our purpose of brewing for a better today and tomorrow.”
